LAN-Ex (Extension) access is a fiber circuit similar to B2B2C optical fiber Internet access, but capable of supporting multiple permanent virtual circuits (PVC) to the Internet or to other B2B2C private IP access types. This is the circuit that best suits the needs of a main site to which private IP circuits or Internet access are concentrated.

Confidential & secure

Private IP ports on a LAN-Ex are entirely isolated from the Internet. Exchanges of data between LAN-Ex access and other sites in a private IP network are confidential and protected from malicious attacks, without the overhead of VPN encryption.

Your network addressing architecture

Addressing on private IP network ports of your LAN-Ex is yours to define. In many ways, a private IP port behaves like a bridge port.

Flexibility

Configuring virtual private networks on your LAN-Ex access is easy. In fact, several virtual private networks can be defined on the same LAN-Ex access. Each of these is delivered on separate ports of B2B2C's interconnection equipment.

Voice and data access

A LAN-Ex access circuit is perfect for centralizing data, VoIP and Internet traffic from your secondary sites to your main site. High volume node of a corporate network

LAN-Ex access is generally used for high-traffic corporate locations. Beyond its ability to deliver very high speed synchronous Internet access, it can serve as a hub for multiple virtual private network interconnections.

Permanent circuit to a backup site

Data transferred is included on the Private IP PVCs defined on a LAN-Ex. Therefore they are ideal for establishing a permanent bridge to backup/disaster recovery sites. Save on the cost of magnetic tape delivery and enable continuous progressive backups with a Private IP PVC on a B2B2C LAN-Ex circuit.

Main circuit for a centralized IP-PBX

The majority of calls placed from your offices are to head office or to other offices of your company? By defining a private IP network between your sites, you can eliminate a large percentage of your local line and long distance costs.
